Attractions In Hong Kong - Keep On Discovering

Hong Kong comprising of a series of little islands that line up its coast

, alongside its mainland peninsula, has plenty to keep tourists occupied on vacations.

The country is steeped in culture and history and visitors will notice the unmistakable influence of Chinese and British strains through its architecture and certain cultural traditions. In comparison to mainland China people speak more English and are more receptive to a conversation in Hong Kong, which is largely due to the country"s colonization by the British during the First World War.

Starting the list off with the top 5 attractions in Hong Kong would be a visit to the Temple Street, night market in downtown Kowloon. Bargaining is simply an art which will soon be learnt by any new comers who steps in here. The night market is situated in a densely populated neighborhood, but it"s a great way to shop for little odds and ends while getting an opportunity to meet the local community.

Another must do on the list when visiting Hong Kong is to take a ride up Victoria Peak by tram. The ride has become almost as popular as the beautiful view that will take your breath away. A tram journeying crawling up a steep incline takes visitors past luxurious houses all the way to the top of the observation deck located at the peak of the incline. Once at the top, the observation deck has an open air observation compartment which opens onto the Hong Kong harbour.

The best part is to wait at the top till sunset when visitors could get some amazing photographs to take back home with them, and while they wait there are enough of restaurants and cafes to keep them occupied.

Another place to visit is the island of Lantau. To get there visitors need to take a ferry ride and within minutes they could be away from the activity of the city. A bus ride from the ferry will take passengers past some amazing hill side scenery and often if requested to the monastery of the Giant Buddha at the Ngong Ping Plateau.

A Hong Kong hotel such as the Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong is just the ideal place to stay at to get that required relaxation and rest after a busy day in the city. Although the hotel is considered quite popular among enthusiastic backpackers, this budget hotel Hong Kong has to offer is more than well equipped to keep any traveller comfortable and well looked after.
