Audi president Johan de Nysschen has stated that the Audi Q3 could perhaps come to the United States within the next three years. This would give the brand enough time to refresh the model before launching it in North America. The Audi Q3 would offer Audi fans in the U.S. something in the crossover SUV category below the current Q5 and Q7 models. Audi USA has not yet made any official announcements regarding the release of the Audi Q3.

In addition to anticipated model upgrades, Audi would also have to determine optimal pricing before the Audi Q3 could be successfully introduced to the United States. The Audi Q3 starts around $39,000 in Europe, and comparably priced models currently available from Audi in North America include the Audi A3 and Audi A4.
