Auto Responders – Why You Need One!

When starting an online business, one of the things you may have heard is that you will need an auto responder

. You built your website or your blog to attract visitors so you can either make a sale or attract new partners into your primary business. It is not enough just to build a website or blog. As an internet marketer, you want to build your business and by using an auto responder, it can collect contact information for you to do just that.

What is an auto responder? It does, as the name tells you, respond automatically. That is, when someone visits your website, and puts their name and e-mail address in your opt-in form, this service will automatically send out an e-mail the minute they put in their information.

If you did not have an auto responder, you would have to collect the e-mail addresses, put them in your e-mail account and then send out an e-mail to them every day or as often you would want to get in touch with them. By using an auto responder, all you need to do is type your e-mails in advance, and have the auto responder send them out whenever you choose. An auto responder saves you time and takes a large amount of work off your shoulders, which in turn saves you money.

An auto responder can build you a list that will let you follow up so you can begin to develop a relationship with the potential customer. It may take five or more contacts before a potential customer will buy a product or service from you as documented by marketing studies. But, they have left you contact information that shows you they are interested in what you have to offer. They may be interested, but may not yet have enough information, or may not yet be ready to buy, so this allows you the opportunity to build a relationship and develop trust so they may buy later or possibly join you in your primary business. This is the best way to let the potential customer that you will be there when they are ready to buy or want to join your primary business.
