Automate Sign-ups With Lastpass

If you are continuously filling up sign-up forms and what not, then I?m sure you?ve been thinking of a tool to automate the process.

There?s a widely popular tool to do just that, it?s called Roboform. It?s tremendously cool and easy to use. It fills up forms in a jiffy. It?s fast and easy to install, however it?s not free.

It only comes with a free 30 day trial, after that you?ll still be able to use the software but will only be allowed to save up to 10 passwords. I haven?t tried the form fill up functionality after the trial version expired because I was disappointed that I can no longer use it after saving about a hundred passwords.

So what I did was to look for an alternative, that?s when I found LastPass. Initially I was dismayed, it has a totally different interface and I had some trouble getting around the utility.

That is until I decided I should at least give it a decent try and make it work. What I did was to try and go one by one on the available options and studied how my information was saved and how to add custom fields to the tool.

After that, everything else was a breeze. Of course at first I was having trouble with the tool. I had been too familiar with RoboForm that I was looking for the features I became comfortable with on the paid solution. When I wasn?t initially able to find it, I got frustrated but after saying to myself that I shouldn?t be expecting too much for a free solution, and learn its features, that?s when I became more comfortable with it.

Today I just finished signing up to 8 sites and the most typing that I did was fill up the captchas which is unavoidable. So far LastPass was able to fill up the forms properly just like when I was using Roboform. When I encountered some fields not in my current last pass profile, I just added custom fields, then its all good.

So, if you are looking for a free alternative to RoboForm give LastPass a spin. It would take some getting used to, but hey..You can?t beat the price.
