I know a little about computers and have tried to manually update a driver before
only to be left totally confused not knowing which model, or version of hardware I had. I quickly decided that it would be easier to purchase a program that would do all this for me. Do you need to update drivers on your computer, but don't want to spend hours searching for the correct one? Are you looking for an automatic driver download, but don't know which one to choose?
There are many programs to choose from. I've tried a few of them and for my money driver robot has been the best and easiest to use. First off, the download is only 5.1 megs. This is slightly more than your average song download. This means very little space on your hard drive, and a quick download. You also receive a free scan of your computer. You don't need to pay up front just to find out there is nothing it can do for you. While the scan runs it tells you what it is scanning and builds a detailed report. After the scan completes it shows you your drivers with a simple green and red light behind it. Green is good, red is not. Drivers with red behind it means that driver is out of date, and a new one is available.
Now that your scan is complete, and you have your list of outdated drivers the only thing left to do is begin selecting each of the drivers individually and download the new driver. You will want to save the download to your desktop so it's easy to find. Once the download completes go to your desktop and double-click the download to begin the installation.
You'll see that within just a few minutes you have not only updated your driver that you knew was causing issues, but have updated several that you didn't even realize needed it.
