Avalon High Disney Movie - Review

Avalon High premiered today on Disney Channel for the first time. We watched the movie and it was really good despite our critiques. The movie is about a girl named Allie, played by Britt Roberts, whose parents move to a new place, and she starts going to a new high school, Avalon High. However, what Allie finds out is that Avalon High isn't just any ordinary school, but a school where the court of King Arthur will repeat again from stories of Medieval Times. This is foreshadowed even at the beginning of the movie when we are introduced to some of the main characters: Miles(Merlin)played by Joey Pollari, Will(William) played by Gregg Sulkin, Lance(Lancelot) played by Christopher Tavarez, and Jen(Genevieve),played by Molly Quinn. Other characters include Marco, played by Steven Gray, and Mr. Moore, played by Steve Valentine.

The movie was amazing in surprises. Many times, I thought that one thing was going to happen, but something completely different actually occurs. The movie was of a good length, but I felt that it did fall a little short on the medieval fighting scene on the beach. I would have really enjoyed watching some more action in the movie. There are still critics of the movie who say that it is quite a bit different from the book that it was based off of(Avalon High written by Meg Cabot).

However, even though it may have a few different scenes, Avalon High was still an amazing movie that is sure to cater to all ages, not just children. Disney did a great job with this book to film movie, and the movie is quite entertaining.
