Global Positioning System (GPS): Little do people know that our everyday GPS today can be traced back to top secret military projects? Originally, the technology was said to come about from the United States Department of Defense. The United States military can be credited for the birth of our modern day GPS. Later, this tool has been adapted and modified to allow civilians to use the technology in various applications. This became the start of one of the most influential scientific breakthrough.

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID): A method of identifying unique items using radio waves. Typically, a reader communicates with a tag, which holds digital information in a microchip. But there are chip less forms of RFID tags that use material to reflect back a portion of the radio waves beamed at them.

GPS and RFID tracking solutions for schools: School officials and parents have been waiting a long time for a solution to the vexing problem of knowing if, when and where a student has boarded or departed a school bus.
