Bare Your Bod: Just For Men
When we start talking about getting ready for poolside excursions during the hot summer months
, we often focus on a woman's need or desire to drop a few extra pounds before donning a new bikini. But what about the fellas? Most men throw on the swim trunks they've owned for half a century and do a cannonball without a thought.
There are others, however, that avoid the pool or the beach altogether because they don't feel as confident as they would like to. What of them? How should they prepare for the upcoming summer revelries?
Well, if this describes you, never fear--you are a lot better off than the female half of the population. That doesn't mean it won't be a challenge, however. If you're up to it, I can give you my best suggestions to help you feel better about baring your bod.
The number one thing my spouse is concerned about when it comes to approaching the pool in summer is the fact that he--well, let's not mince words--he's a hairy beast. To me, this is nothing out of the ordinary, but for him, it puts a damper on taking a dip. That is why we decided to start investigating laser hair removal.
Laser hair removal is a perfect option for him--and for many of you if you share his concern--as he has light skin and coarse, dark hair. Though advancement in laser hair removal technology has enabled specialists to perform the same procedure on people with other hair and skin types, the results are not as permanent nor as predictable.
If this is an idea you are considering, you will want to schedule a consultation before summer begins, as you will have to undergo several sessions over a period of weeks or even months before you attain the results you hope for.
When you hit the gym, don't focus solely on your abs. I've known many men who think that is the only important definition needed when you're showing off your upper body. The truth is that if you are not shedding excess fat properly, you will only cause your stomach to bulge out.
Make sure that you are getting adequate aerobic exercise before trying to chisel out a six pack. Don't forget about your pectorals, shoulders, biceps, triceps, which are somewhat easier to build than abdominal muscles. The muscle groups in your back should also get special attention.
Remember that it is more important to take good care of yourself than to try to achieve a perfect body. But with some effort on your part, you can boost your confidence and feel great while lounging poolside.
