For example, in their USA manufacturing branch in Spartanburg, South Carolina, they pipe in methane gas from a nearby landfill to power their plant. This saves enough energy that could fuel a car driving around the world 4,300 times, over 17,000 tons! And Spartanburg isn't the only plant thinking a little more green; BMW manufacturing plants globally have cut back their emissions by 30%.
