Theoretically, this surgery will not affect peoples daily life even the time after it. Most receivers can leave hospital immediately after the surgery. But sometimes the qualification of surgeons will play an important role in determining the recovering time. Usually, only several days are needed for many people to recover. Or in some cases, some eye shields are needed if people feel uncomfortable in their eyes. Anyway, only very short time is needed for eyes to recover.

On the whole, the surgery can be finished within very short time, about several minutes. During the procedure, a laser generated by special equipments will be used as a scalpel, which will make a cut and flap on the cornea and remove some extra tissue in it. This is much advanced and safer than many other eye surgeries.

However, one point people should know before the surgery that there may appear some uncomfortable symptoms after the surgery, like blurriness, glare, irritation, and etc. most of them are natural and normal and will disappear sometime later. But in some other cases (if the symptoms do not disappear), the problems may be worsened. For this, some further eye surgery is needed. If it can not be processed with another surgery, people may suffer from permanent eye problems.

Luckily, everything will be fine if people can follow what their eye doctors have suggested. And the recovery time can be greatly shortened. But if they do not follow, there may appear some further or potential problems, some of which can be permanent.
