Be Inspired - How I Made Huge Progress From New Knowledge Gleaned

Many people look at successful rich people and say they were lucky

. It seems that success though is made up of 2% inspiration and 98% perspiration. Here is my story of how I became number 1 on Google's search engine in the world under my search term "personal prophecy" on 2% inspiration

When I went to an Internet conference in 1998 I found there are two parts to a website that bring it success. There is having something that people want and want to buy or use, and then there is getting that website found on the Internet if people do not have your Internet on a card you have given them. The second part of it, getting found on the Internet is called SEO ( Search engine optimization)

Well there is a saying that not much in life comes for free and that is true. I searched and read about how to get my website put high on search engines for quite a while and applied that information and get my website at second on Yahoo and 1st place on Google, but I found that you cannot get to a high place on Google unless you have other people with good websites linking to your website. I was a no body and no one would link to me and so it was not possible. I rang a person who was an expert in SEO and he said he could get me in the top 10 on Google for $1500 US. I didn't have that sort of money.

Then a couple of years later I learned new knowledge. I found that if you wrote articles on Ezine articles which had a good page rank with Google that Ezine articles would let you run a link to your website from each of your articles.

It took me about 18 months of hard work and I was number 6 on Google and three months later I was number 1 on Google in the world. Did my number 1 position come from luck? Not at all! It came from hard work.

I have since found out that a comment on a good blog or EzineArticles with your website address can also count as a valid link and now I am in the process of getting them done each day in my day.

There are many sites that offer personal prophecy on the Internet and none of them will ever be able to knock me off number 1 position unless they have more links to their website. And that I a reason I write more articles.

I set an original goal to write 200 articles and now I have 560 articles online. I set a goal to have 1000 readers a week online, now I have 3000 readers each week. There are many things that I am doing now that I set a goal to do. For six months I could not learn how to compress and upload You Tube videos and with a lot of working and reading I learned how to do that. Now 800 people have watched something on You Tube. I don't know many people personally that have 3000 people reading what they write each week, I do not know many people that won number 1 spot on Google and yet I have done it. All of it comes from knowledge and its application though hard work.
