HTC has surprised all with its new product- HTC Smart on O2 PAYG

. The Linux-based Brew Mobile platform used for the HTC Smart hardly makes it a proper smartphone to boot. Truth is that, there are modern touch feature phones that have more "HTC Smart" in them than this one.

The friendly size is a key asset of the HTC Smart. Standing at 104 x 55 x 12.8 mm HTC Smart is no hassle to handle and carry around. At 108 g of weight it's a stout little handset, almost matching the measurements of the smallish HTC Tattoo. HTC smart is featured with the 2.8" QVGA resistive touch screen giving resolution of 240 x 320 pixels supported by 256k colours. And its weight is 108 g. HTC Smart on O2 PAYG is equipped with a 3 megapixel fixed-focus camera for a maximum image resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. You can switch between camera and cam-recorder with a flash button. You can set some colour effects, brightness and contrast of the photos accomplished with zooming effect. HTC Smart is capable of recording QVGA video with rate of 15 fps.

New HTC SMART is having two internal memories- RAM of 256 MB and ROM of 256 MB. You can extend memory up to 16 GB with microSD card. Maximum 1000 phonebook entries are possible in HTC. HTC Smart features the latest OBIGO web browser, which is an in-house application. HTC SMART supports Java MIDP 2.1 that gives you good internet surfing experience. This handset is having connectivity of GPRS, 3G HSDPA with 3.6 Mbps speed and EDGE also. HTC SMART has Bluetooth connectivity, so you can share data with other Bluetooth devices.

The music player does a good job in HTC SMART handset. Tracks can be sorted by albums, artists, playlist or listed all at once. HTC Smart on O2 PAYG is featured with an audio player that offers a simplistic interface and also having Video player that supports MP4/3GP formats. The HTC Smart is equipped with an FM radio with RDS too in which you can save up to 6 stations.

With all these, it boasts basic features like SMS, MMS, and Java via third party application and Organizer. This HTC Smart on O2 PAYG is providing standby time up to 450 hours (2G) & 600 hours (3G) and talk time up to 7 hours 30 min (2G) & 6 hours 10 min (3G).
