So many people that I know would love to own a web store, but they just don't have the capital to start up. However, by using a service known as drop shipping, anyone can make money online, selling the products that they want to, with little to no investment. Here's how it works.

Drop shippers are whole salers who offer on and offline business owners (like those who run mail order shipping companies) the opportunity to sell their products without first buying stock.

Drop shipping companies offer everything from electronics to toys, high end kitchen equipment to pet products and everything else you can think of.

To sell drop shipping products, you need to sign up to be a member of the site you want to buy through. Be careful to research it first, and make sure that they are offering the best prices for their products.

You then select the products you want to sell, and create your own listings, descriptions and pricing, including your profit and shipping costs, and list them on your web store or in a catalogue.

When a customer buys a product from you, they pay you directly (usually by credit card or PayPal) and once you have the funds, you purchase the item from your drop shipper.

When you fill in the order from the drop shipping company, you use the customers' address, and they ship the item directly to your client.

Most drop shipping companies have their own refund policy, that you need to adopt, and most will also include your own invoices or marketing material with your order, if you provide them.

As you can see, if you use drop shipping, particularly if you self design your website, or use a site builder that includes a web store module, you can have your own web store business for the cost of a domain name. With a lot of marketing, and by offering high quality products that are in demand, you can build a very profitable online business with very little investment.

You could even use drop shipping to add a web store element to your existing site or blog, and in that way, increase your online business revenues. Aside from some research, and the initial set up of the web store, there's little more involved than receiving and sending payments!
