Tip 1: Your CV is an advert

When it comes to your CV you need to get it right. Take some time perfecting it and it could really pay off. Remember, your CV is your advert it needs to really sell your skills and experience and to give you a real edge you should adjust it to fit better to the specific job you are applying for. You might want to consider finding out more about the job you are going to apply for and what qualities the employer is looking for in a successful candidate. You can then ensure your CV highlights the fact that you have these particular skills and qualities.

Often people are so nervous in interviews that without realising it they send the wrong signals to potential employers. Interviews aren't just about what you say, but about how you present yourself both in terms of physical appearance and in how you say things. However, nervous you are, try to remember to smile, to make eye contact, to talk in a calm and thoughtful tone of voice. Also try to use your body language to convey a sense of confidence. Don't cross your arms and try to mimic the physical actions of your interviewer.
