For example, the domain name for the site Shivaami is shivaami.com. It is always important that you choose a good domain name, as it will stay with you forever.

2.Choose a Web Host and Sign Up for an Account

A web host is a company that helps in connecting many computers to the internet. After you choose a web host, the web host will place your page on their computers and it will be reachable to people worldwide through the internet. But before that you need to open an account with the host. This enables you to have a home for your website. You will need a username and password to enter your new website space so it is vital that you write it down somewhere or make one that you remember.

3.Designing your Web Pages

After pay for a domain name and registering on your web host, the next step is to design a website. You can hire a web designer to do it, but you can also design a web page on your own as it is very easy. A websites contains many web pages that are linked to each other. In the beginning you need to have a web editor that allows you to design your site visually, without working around a lot of technical details. There are many web editors available on the internet like Dreamweaver, Kompozer, etc. These web designing softwares also come in a paid version. You can also upload images on the website by clicking an upload and/or browse button in your hosted site. Or you can upload using an FTP (file transfer protocol) program.

4.Testing Your Website

The next step of designing a website is testing it. Testing the website should be done throughout the process. You will need to test your web pages as you design them in the major browsers. A good website works on all the versions. To make sure that your website too works on all browsers, you will have to make sure that the underlying code has no errors.

Although I list this step separately, this should be done throughout your web design cycle. I list it separately to give it a little more prominence, since too few new webmasters actually perform this step adequately.

5.Getting Your Site Noticed

The last and final step of website designing involves submitting your site to major search engines like Google, Yahoo, etc. To get your site noticed you will also have to promote it in ways like advertisements in the newspapers, word-of-mouth, etc. you can also advertise on search engines.
