Bersih Fair Elections Or Eliminating The Government?

If Bersih was clearly embraced by the entire Malaysian population when it showed up in November

, 2006, the thoughts are split now. If some people still appreciate the so called idea of freedom, others got the ability to dig a little and understand what this movement is actually about. Officially, Bersih is the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections. It was founded in Malaysia to ensure real elections, without any fraud suspicions, especially since the current government is leading the country for a few decades already. However, the history shows up in this movement and clears down some obvious aspects. Ensuring clean elections are not about taking people out to protest and this is the first thing the population should think about.

Bersih consists of almost a hundred nongovernmental organizations. This is how it presents itself. However, the officials tend to ignore the five political parties in the opposition that run behind it. The list counts DAP, PAS, PKR, PSM and SNAP. The political parties represent the opposition. Ensuring real elections is not really a reason to go out in the street and protest, unless the situation would be a lot worse. Instead, this can be done peacefully through a brief inspection and a more advanced organization. It is obvious that the actual purpose of Bersih is to eliminate the current government, otherwise there would be no reason for the coalition to exist. However, the politics are different and not that easy to understand. When planning on the people support for such procedures, every politician will try to present things as positive as possible.

Bersih is based on the people who believe in dreams, without actually thinking about the results. Such dreams exist because the population doesn't know how it feels to be lied over and over again with promises and innovative ideas around the elections. That is because the government has not changed too much in the past. If Bersih succeeds, every specialist can agree that the chance for the country to go down even more is higher than the one to suddenly start improving. In many cases, the new governments have been worse than the previous ones. It will take decades for the people to understand what a mistake they did, only because they didn't take a few minutes to think about the hidden consequences.
