Did you ever have one of those days when everything just seems to go right? You wake up before the alarm clock goes off and are refreshed and ready to go. You just feel so good that you can't wait to get out and share it with the world in the form of new, big, money producing sales.
Its days like this that everything you say works. People are drawn to you, they trust you, like you, and want to do business with you. You don't care how they are feeling, it doesn't really matter. In fact it is even better if they are having a bad day because you and your powerful, positive energy become the solution.
You never really have any control over the mood anyone else is in so you should just worry about your own. I remember one time early in my marriage when my new wife saw a girl on the bus that she thought I would be attracted to. She got home that night and was mad at me. That is the kind of baggage you as a salesperson deal with everyday.
I had one of these good feeling days on Friday, and it turned into one of my best sales day ever. Thinking back there were some "no's" on Friday but they didn't register as that way, they really sounded more like "not now's". I could not be stopped, and the only time these customers were not buying was when they were no longer available to talk to me.
I am sure you have experienced days like this too and wished that you could bottle the stuff that makes it happen. Well I think you can. You have it in your house now in never ending supply. You can reach for it anytime you want, and it's called:
Enthusiasm
People gravitate to enthusiastic people like crunchy peanut butter to jelly on soft Wonder bread. They are amused by enthusiastic people and almost think that by being near you some of it will rub off on them. Think of it; when you are enthusiastic, people want to BUY FROM YOU!!
Even as a speaker I have seen that when I am enthusiastically talking, people will enjoy the presentation even if I was saying nothing of value to them at all.
Here are some ways to find the bottle of enthusiasm in you:

Eat light dinners. The number one energy consumer in your body is digestion. Give your body a break on that function and you will have more energy for other stuff, like making your mortgage payment.
Plan your tomorrow the night before. Planning gets you thinking about what you are going to offer to your prospect tomorrow. You work out complete scenarios in your brain and can't wait to wake up and try them out.
Celebrate successes. Even the smallest ones. Even the tiniest ones. This one act will rev you up more than anything. You start to crave the celebration and find yourself setting goals, and wanting to wake up and achieve them. Who wouldn't want to be around an achiever like you, huh?
People get enough boring, hum drum normal junk from everyone else. Meeting you should be an event. Make it one, and everyday will be your best sales day. Enthusiasm sells!
