She may almost be 90 years of age, but Betty White, a true golden girl, is still red hot in Hollywood. After decades on television and movie screen, White remains a hot commodity in show business. She was hilarious in "Lake Placid" a 1999 movie release which cast her as a boisterous elderly woman who continued to feed alligators even when the alligators became a threat to humans. In 2003, White stole countless scenes from comic genius Steve Martin and Academy Award Nominated Queen Latifah as she portrayed the nosey, racist, mother of Steve Martin's Boss. Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, as well as major movie critics, applauded her acting ability in their 2009 film, The Proposal.
Along with Abe Vigoda, Betty White starred in a hilarious 2010 Super Bowl XLIV ad for Snickers. It was voted as the top Super Bowl ad, and reenergized White's reputation as a living legend. After the advertisement, fans of all ages latched on to White, and a Facebook campaign was launched to have her host Saturday Night Live. With half a million signatures, the campaign was successful, and on May 8, 2010, Betty White, at 88, became the oldest person to ever host Saturday Night Live.
