BidRivals Scam - Is BidRivals Just A Scam?

You've probably started seeing commercials on your T.V. for a new international penny auction site called BidRivals. Some of the reviews I've read on this company were good, while others were bad. One particular review I read on penny auctions sites claimed that BidRivals was a good site to use if you live outside of the United States. They said you could get brand new items for lower than retail prices. I still wasn't completely convinced though. I decided to test it out for myself...

The review I read on BidRivals said to purchase a fairly large bid pack (over 200 bids), find an item I wanted, and then wait until the countdown timer was under one minute before starting to bid on the product. I found an ongoing auction for a new Amazon Kindle and I've been wanting one for awhile, so I decided to participate in the bidding. There was a bit of competition, people were bidding back and forth and the timer was still above one minute.

Finally, the timer dropped to 35 seconds without someone placing another bid, so I decided to start dropping my bids. The bidding went back and forth between me and two other people, but after I used up about 28 bids, they finally stopped. Then the 5 second countdown began - 5,4,3,2,1, 0 and then it said I was the winner of the auction! I was so happy, I actually jumped up from my chair, it felt like I'd won money on a scratch ticket or something.

When it came to actually receiving the product in the mail, it took a little bit longer than the review site said. It actually took a week and a half to arrive, but it was brand new and even had the warranty with it.

I can now safely say that BidRivals is a site that actually works, but don't go in expecting you'll win every auction you bid on. There are some auctions you'll lose. The key is having the self discipline to know when to back down from bidding against someone.

Before you sign up for any of these penny auction sites, you should read all the information on This Review Site. They tell you which sites to stay away from, and which are the best to use. They also give you tips on winning auctions.
