Biodegradable Soluble Cutting Oil
I have seen this technologywhich is useful for cutting and grinding operations in the CSIR Technofest 2010, showcased by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi, at India International Trade Fair during November 14-27, 2010 New Delhi, India. I understand that "Biodegradable Soluble Cutting Oil" was developed by Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun, India.
This technology was developed from rice bran oil and what chart shows that from Rice plant, we get rice kernel, and from this we get rice bran oil. From rice bran oil, we get soluble oil concentrate and finally we get Biodegradable Soluble Cutting Oil from soluble oil concentrate. I came to know this technology has already been transferred to Ecocare Bio Lube Private Limited, Tamil Nadu, India.
Soluble Cutting Oil is recommended for most milling, drilling, turning, cut-off and power sawing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is also effective in reaming, broaching, tapping and grinding operations. Soluble Cutting Oil is a versatile, compounded, water-Soluble Cutting Oil designed primarily as a lubricant and coolant for cutting and grinding operations on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Soluble Cutting Oil has proven outstanding as a coolant for heavy-duty machining operations, as emulsifiable hydraulic oil and as a rust preventative.
Advantages of soluble cutting oil
Good lubricity for Smooth Finishes
Multi-purpose, Good from Light to Heavy-Duty Operations
Excellent Corrosion and Stain Control
Excellent Emulsification of Water
This technology has more benefits like it is at par with IS 1115 specifications and it provides better lubricity and extends tool life, reduce breakdown period. It is completely biodegradable from agro products, it is safe to use, no health hazards from mist and effluents. It is from renewable source, help in employment generation and rural upliftment. It has high flash point, less volatile, food grade & non toxic and it is compatible with mineral oil and its equipment. It has no disposal problem.
