Blackhead Removal - The Most Recommended Remedy To Eliminate Blackhead
Blackheads or blocked pores are one of the most commonly occurring skin complaints in the world
. Every single day millions of people suffer the irritation of yet another crop of blackheads appearing on the surface of their skin, it can be very frustrating.
In fact there's probably not a person in the world who hasn't had at least one blackhead during the duration of their life as it is so common.
Blackheads can affect any type of skin but more often the oilier the skin, the more at risk you leave yourself. They are formed when there is oil (sebum) that is trapped within a pore. As the oil trapped in the pore begins to oxidize it turns black and becomes hard, forming a plug.
More often than not you will experience blackheads in areas that are more difficult to properly clean like the sides of the nostrils or near the eyebrows.
The first step towards preventing blackheads is to be aware of what causes them so that you know what to guard against. Blackheads are caused by blocked pores in your skin. They can appear anywhere on your body, but they most commonly appear on the face.
Once a pore becomes blocked it loses the ability to clean itself using the oil in your skin. Over time tiny particles of dirt build up at the head of the pore causing it to become discolored, hence the name blackheads.
Unlike whiteheads, which cause small white pustules on the surface of your skin, blackheads lie level with the surface of the skin, this makes them harder to remove as they're actually in the pore.
Preventing Blackheads
The best way to avoid blackheads appearing in your skin is to lead as healthy a lifestyle as possible and maintain good hygiene to keep your skin clean. Use a mild soap or water soluble cleaner to wash your skin. It's also a good idea to use a gentle exfoliate every day to remove dead skin cells and cleanse your skin.
Drink lots of water, this will flush out the toxins through your kidney. This will help to keep your skin health and prevent the pores from becoming blocked. However, in practice it's almost impossible to avoid blackheads as its to easy and common for pores to be blocked.
How to get rid of blackheads
But if despite your best efforts blackheads still appear in your skin, all is not lost. There are a number of ways to deal with blackheads, however not everyone agrees on the best method. You could ask a number of different experts, such as GPs or dermatologists, and they would each give you a different answer.
Whether you are removing blackheads with a special blackhead remover or with a simple cotton ball, one thing is for certain...they can be easily removed as long as you know what you are doing.
Just remember to not apply too much pressure, and properly clean and soften the face before attempting to remove the blackhead. Whatever you do, do not pick at your blackhead, this will only create more of a problem.
