Blastocyst is an embryo that develops after five to seven days of fertilization
. It is a thin-walled hollow structure in early embryonic development. It contains cluster of cells called the inner cell mass. The outer layer of the cell gives rise to the supporting tissues for the uterus while the inner gives rise to the tissues of the body.
Blastocyst culture is a selection of the best quality embryos for the transfer to the uterus of the mother. The quality of the embryo is very important for the couple who are experiencing infertility. The chances of transfer of Blastocyst embryo can be done in five days if healthy Blastocyst forms at a high rate. By Blastocyst culturing if we realise that some of them have not become Blastocyst we always have an opportunity to choose the most best embryo to transfer. So even if the rates of the embryo are less but the quality is great then yet there are chances of obtaining high pregnancy success rates
If this 5embryo Blastocyst transfer is delayed even little bit then the chances of the high quality goes down. Therefore if the quality control and the test culture system is in the IVF lab is not proper then the output of the test will not be obtained properly. The embryos should be stored properly before they enter the weak culture.
