Self-hosted blogs definitely have advantages over free blogs. You have complete control over your blog and he can customize the blog according to your needs. Not only that, you have great advantagse if you choose to put advertisements on your blog.

To create a self-hosted blog, you should buy a domain name and web space. Next step is to install the bogging software onto this domain. Most of the hosting companies now provide Wordpress installation software. Once installed, you can login to Wordpress with your user name and password and start creating your articles.

Blogs are a great medium for making money online. Well written articles, when marketed properly, always bring high traffic onto the blog. Once your blog has visitors you can choose to put advertisements.
