Bovis Homes Sends Kent House Hunter Off To Europe
When Sandra Mitchell went for a look at Chestnut Place in Ashford, the Bovis Homes development of new houses in Kent, she ended up with more than she'd bargained for - a 250 voucher to spend on a Eurostar trip to the Continent. Sandra's was the lucky name pulled out of the prize draw at the opening weekend of the new 'Deverell' show home at the scheme a short time ago. Now she just has to choose her destination and travelling companion."I haven't decided that yet," says Sandra. "But it was a lovely surprise. I haven't even decided where I'm going to go - maybe Paris - but I'm going to enjoy it wherever it is!"Currently living in Lympne, just outside Hythe on Kent's south coast, Sandra was impressed with Bovis Homes' new three-bedroom show house, inside and out, and taken aback by her good fortune."I'm certainly glad I went," adds Sandra. "Not only was the prize a wonderful surprise, but I was impressed with the quality of the homes. They had a better finish than some of the other new-build I have seen and I liked the extras you get in the kitchen."The 'Deverell' home design is one of a selection of three- and four-bedroom properties for sale at the Ashford site. Priced from 222,450 its specification includes a sizeable, open-plan fully fitted kitchen/family room, a popular choice for homebuyers today who like to make the kitchen the hub of informal family life, with the bonus of French doors out to the rear garden. On the first floor are a sitting room with a Juliet balcony to the front of the property, a bathroom and a bedroom. On the second floor are two further bedrooms each with their own en-suite shower room. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes as standard.Properties at Chestnut Place are currently priced from 199,950 to 289,950. In common with many of its developments, Bovis Homes is offering a number of assistance schemes to help purchasers buying a home at the site. While many people discover it's easy to find a property they love, selling their existing home or getting a first foot on the property ladder can be tricky. The schemes on offer from Bovis Homes include its Jumpstart shared equity initiative, where first time buyers need to pay just 85% of the value of their home up front for 100% ownership, the Perfect 10 mortgage, where buyers need just a ten per cent deposit to get a competitive 90% fixed-rate mortgage, and Home Exchange, where the company acts as a cash buyer to take an existing property as part exchange on one of its new homes.Ashford is one of the most dynamic towns in the south of England, undergoing a huge regeneration and expansion in the past few years which continues today. It's a major transport hub, with the M20 passing by the town and numerous rail services, including a High Speed route into London taking just 37 minutes and numerous Eurostar services to European destinations. The show home at the development is open from Thursday to Monday, 10am to 5pm.
