When Sandra Mitchell went for a look at Chestnut Place in Ashford, the Bovis Homes development of new houses in Kent, she ended up with more than she'd bargained for - a 250 voucher to spend on a Eurostar trip to the Continent. "Not only was the prize a wonderful surprise, but I was impressed with the quality of the homes. They had a better finish than some of the other new-build I have seen and I liked the extras you get in the kitchen."The 'Deverell' home design is one of a selection of three- and four-bedroom properties for sale at the Ashford site. Priced from 222,450 its specification includes a sizeable, open-plan fully fitted kitchen/family room, a popular choice for homebuyers today who like to make the kitchen the hub of informal family life, with the bonus of French doors out to the rear garden.On the first floor are a sitting room with a Juliet balcony to the front of the property, a bathroom and a bedroom.
