Normally, regular classes in school are never enough for many students. A large portion of them needs extra tuition to improve their performance. Thinkers Education Center, Inc. has been offering additional tuition for Houston learners since 1998.

Among the regular education they give are math, English, reading and ESL (at both basic and secondary levels). In special education, they enroll students who have conditions such as Attention Deficiency Disorder, Aspersers, Auditory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia, Behavioral Issues, Visual Processing Disorder, Development Delays, Autism and those who have different mental capacities. To achieve their numerous objectives, Thinkers Education Center, Inc. has three learning programs, namely Step-A-Head Program, Online classes and virtual school.

The objective of Step-A-Head Program (grades 3-8) is to assist students who are underperforming in class in reading, writing and math to improve in grades and catch up with their peers. Such children finally return to conventional learning institutions where they are able to compete successfully with their peers in all learning programs. Another objective of this course is to improve the writing, reading and math skills of students who are average in class improve.

In this program, all classes have one student each. This enables the student to get specialized attention from a certified teacher. Teachers do not allow more than two students in class unless this is predetermined with a parent or guardian at the time a meeting is scheduled. Moreover, unless a parent or guardian agrees on this when planning a meeting, students learn Texas essential knowledge and skills at their grade level. The number of classes a student enrolls in is what determines total learning cost.

The objective of online classes (grades 9-12) is to provide high school diploma to students who are underperforming in math, writing and reading in class. New classes commence every 10 weeks and students are free to enroll any time during the year. The classes are small and do not consist more than three students and a certified teacher. The teacher gives Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills at the students functional level.

In virtual classes (grades 3-12), enrollment is ongoing throughout the year. In these classes, students study 24/7 and learn at their own rate. A certified teacher is always available to answer students questions, assist them improve test scores and guide them towards earning high school diploma.
