Downing Street is now looking for options as well as facing fresh questions for the
appointment of the Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt on the level of overseas as far as the bid of BSkyB is concerned. This is what is reported by Rupert Murdoch News Corporation.
After the enquiry by Leveson Inquiry which was done under the media ethics by Hunt who had made private representative as far as the Prime Minister in support of the bid before the media was given in giving responsibility for making a decision on this issue is concerned.
A warning was given by Culture Secretary to James Murdoch who was quite furious as far as the Business Secretary Vince Cable and also his handling of the issue giving brief memo to David Cameron was concerned.
The dramatic kind of disclosure was made by Adam Smith who is a special adviser to Hunt. He also gave evidence in the Leveson inquiry. Smith had admitted of having close link up with News Corp Lobbyist Fred Michel is concerned. Last month only he had quit from his post. But inspite of all this, he has said that he did not give any kind of instructions to Hunt or about his rule in civil servants in the case of quasi-judicial decision on BSkyB is concerned. He further added that he himself had made an assumption that he should be maintaining relationships with parties who are interested but he told that he only had close relations with News Corp.
At the time of his evidence when the inquiry was going on he gave details about the memo of Smith which was sent to David Cameron 19th November in the year 2010. this memo had concerned over the issue of the bid on Ofcom that the government had left which was giving them wrong place in the policy of media. This small note by Hunt to the Prime Minister was written around a month ago just before Culture Secretary came under the charges of the decision about BSkyB after which the Vince Cable was also caught tapping is opinion and opposition as far as the bid was concerned and also when he gave a statement that is going to declare war on Rupert Murdoch.
