Budget, Standard Or High-end? - Which Banner Stand Is The Right One For You?

If you're reading this then you're probably already familiar with exhibition banner

stands and their primary function as a promotional display item to promote your business at events and trade shows. You may also know that there are many different categories of banner display that are on the market, from cheap budget stands, industry standard versions, plus more expensive high end models. What you may want to know is 'which display do I want?'. Here is a breakdown of the suitability of each stand.

Budget Banner Displays

Budget banner displays are the cheapest option to display at exhibitions and trade shows. They usually come in sizes of 800mm or 850mm wide x 2 metres tall. The term 'economy' can cover many different models of stand but they all have one thing in common; they are not meant for long term extended use. Frequently, the quality of the graphic won't be as durable as higher priced displays and won't last as long as a result. The media that is used in some cases could be laminated paper which is extremely delicate or printed banner vinyl which is susceptible to fraying at the edges.

If you have an exhibition to attend but you need to keep your budget restricted, then an economy banner stand will be perfect only if you aim to use it no more than a handful of times. Many people find this is the perfect option for their situation but if you want something more long term then a more expensive stand will be needed.

Standard Banner Displays

The industry standard banner displays are 850mm x 2m pull up banner stands. Pull up displays are perfect for repeat use as they can be transported with ease and stored with ease when not being used. They are usually made from lightweight aluminium which is resistant to damage.

The graphic is usually printed onto a tear resistant inkjet media, purposely produced for use on banner stands and similar exhibition items. It is then overlaminated for increased protection.

These displays will endure for months or even years of repeat use if cared for well, justifying the extra cost over budget banner displays.

High-end Banner Displays

The best quality banner stands are mainly branded, heavier weight displays. As a general rule, the base unit of these displays will not have rotating stabiliser feet which make them slimmer and more visually pleasing. The graphic itself should be the same material as the standard model so there are no changes in the standard of the graphic as such. The main reason for choosing a high-end model stand is how it looks. If the way your business image is conveyed is of the utmost importance then a deluxe banner stand would be the best option for you.

In the end, the easiest way to pick the display for you is to request the professional advice of your exhibition stand supplier who should be able to offer you a selection of stands based on your needs.
