Buick Lacrosse Makes A Luxury Statement Without Shouting

When I think of a Buick, I picture a huge boat of a car

, usually with a driver over 60 years old. Obviously this is a stereotype and not a representation of what todays Buick line represents. Buick dealers in Naples believe the new Buick LaCrosse will help give Buick a new image.

The LaCrosse is definitely a luxury car, but its not at all ostentatious or flashy. Understated elegance is the name of the game here. The interior, designed by teams from China and North America is the crowning jewel of the LaCrosse and the comfort extends throughout. Buyers of used cars, Naples drivers, and Buick enthusiasts will love the luxury found inside.

A wide instrument panel makes everything easy to see and the gauge pod remains small. While storage space is lacking, and we do like the little compartments that hold all our stuff, there is little else missing in this model. Buick dealers in Naples think its a complete package, anyway, and would love to show it to you.

The light bar on across the dash has a ethereal glow at night, very soothing, and it matches the rest of the lighting in the instrument panel. All that soft blue and white lighting does feel luxurious. It can certainly compete with the more expensive Lexus ED 350, even though they both have some different high points.

Customers of used cars in Naples will appreciate how the Buick LaCrosse combines elements that make for smooth steering, braking and cornering and with a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive you cant miss. Powered by a 3.6-liter V6, a 3-liter V6 or a 2.4-liter four-cylinder, all use the Hydra-Matic six-speed auto transmission.

The fuel economy is not phenomenal in this luxury ride, but I wouldnt expect it to be. Its not bad, though, at 17 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. This is very acceptable for a car that isnt specifically designed for only fuel economy.

The LaCrosse went on sale just last month, so you can still be the first on your block to own one if you visit your Buick dealers in Naples today. What will it cost you? Well, the base CX begins at $27,835. Move up to the CXL trim and you will pay $30,395 for front wheel and $32,570 for all-wheel. If you want something even fancier, like the CXS, it only comes in front-wheel drive and is priced at $33,765.

It will be interesting to watch whether the Buick models are designed more for fuel economy in the future or whether that will continue to take a back seat to luxury. As long as the meet the minimum standards being implemented by the government over the next couple of years, most buyers probably will be fine with focusing on the luxury.
