Busty Women Frequently Report Health Benefits After Liposuction
Women who have excessively large breasts know that they can sometimes be a pain--literally!
Overly large and heavy breasts can sometimes cause discomfort and pain in the shoulders, neck and upper back. The weight of the breasts can cause unusual stresses on the skeletal structure and can result in imperfect posture. Also, the constant heavy pressure of the bra strap can cause irritation and pain. Some women with very large breasts develop skin problems and infections in the areas below or between their breasts because of the constant skin contact and friction. The strain of large breasts can also sometimes cause increased tension, which can lead to painful headaches
On a less physical level, sometimes women with large breasts find that they experience emotional or social awkwardness. Some women feel like they are playing second-fiddle to their breasts, and they feel like others pay more attention to their cleavage than they do to them. This can be disquieting for some and embarrassing for others. Still others find that it is simply very difficult to find clothes that fit, especially bras.
More worrying to some is the possibility that their large breasts could make it more difficult to detect cancer. According to some doctors, extremely large breasts are more difficult to adequately examine during self exams, and can even sometimes interfere with a mammogram's ability to detect cancerous growths.
Some doctors feel that liposuction (also known as lipoplasty and suction lipectomy) can help to address these issues. A lipoplasty can remove nearly half of the fatty tissue of a woman's breasts. This can obviously help to reduce the physical strain on a woman's frame, and it can similarly help a woman to not feel socially awkward and to have an easier time going clothes shopping.
As far as cancer detection goes, it is true that a liposuction can help to remove excess fat, meaning that there's less area to cover. This could make it easier to do adequate self-exams, and it could make it more feasible for a mammogram to fully scan the breast. However, some doctors note that the surgery can cause some amount of internal scarring and trauma. This could, in turn, lead to lumps or hard spots which could interfere with the process.
If you have experienced any of these problems and wonder whether a lipoplasty could help you, you should consider meeting with a surgeon in your area for a free consultation.
