Located north of Cypress Creek Road in Cedar Park, Texas, the Buttercup Creek neighborhood offers a peaceful retreat away from downtown Austin. The subdivision is ideal for families, as it offers comfortable and affordable homes nearby all the conveniences residents are looking for. Downtown is about 20 miles away and is easily accessible from U.S. 183, which intersects with I-35 and MoPac.

The area was established in the 1980s and is made up of two neighborhoods Buttercup Creek and Westside at Buttercup Creek. It was originally filled with smaller homes but has grown significantly and now offers a wide range of sizes and floor plans. Many of the older homes are ranch-style, while it's common to find newer properties with two levels and a brick exterior. From January 2009 to May 2010, sold homes ranged in price from $92,000 to $450,000, and sizes ranged from 1,000 to 4,500 square feet.

For groceries, a Randall's Food and Drug is located a mile away on Cypress Creek Road. An H.E.B. and local marketplace are also less than two miles from Buttercup Creek.

Children who live in Buttercup Creek will have access to one of the fastest growing school districts in the United States the Leander Independent School District. This includes Naumann Elementary School, Henry Middle School, Vista Ridge High School, and Cedar Park High School.
