Called to Coach Hits Bookstores and New York Times Best Sellers List

The game is on, or maybe in this case the game is off and Coach Bobby Bowden is on.

August 24, 2010, was the official release date for Called to Coach, Reflections of Life, Faith and Football. You might think someone who will turn 81 years old in only a few months would be sitting back and enjoying a tall glass of iced tea in this extreme August heatwave. Not so for this coaching legend. Coach Bowden has inspired players and fans in the world of college football for 57 years. Thirty-four of those years were spent with the Florida State Seminoles. His unwelcome departure from the public eye of the collegiate football world may not have been part of Bobby Bowden's immediate plans but rest assured, "out of sight out of mind," in no way relates to this southern gentleman. The only thing that really changed is the size of audience he is now inspiring. You might say he is moving on up.

In some of his most recent interviews, Coach Bowden shares his thoughts as, "I felt like once I got out of coaching, it would be like you are a has-been, who wants to hear you anymore?" Based on his upcoming speaking schedule it appears there are many crowds interested in what he has to say. Coach's speaking engagements and interviews are non stop until 2011 with more being added each week. Coach Bowden will be the featured Keynote speaker at the LandThink Summit 2010 on September 30th at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA. Coach will be sharing his own personal experiences as a land investor and the affects this market is having on those looking to buy, sell or invest in land.

The LandThink Summit audience will be a select group of individuals who will have the opportunity to hear and meet Coach Bobby Bowden. ESPN Columnist and co-author of the book, Mark Schlabach, will also be joining Coach Bowden and signing autographs. Over his thirty-four year football tenure, you would imagine Bobby Bowden has signed his share of autographs. With the release of Called to Coach, even this legend is experiencing new feats. Coach commented, "I'll tell you what I had to do which I've never done in my life. I hope I never have to do again. I had about a week to sign seven-thousand, five-hundred autographs to accompany the book. I didn't think I could do it. It took about 20 hours. But anyway, at least that's something I've never done before."
