In beginning of the year the first shock and water proof solid tough cams have been introduced by Canon and Panasonic
. It is quite possible that you may be puzzled that which camera you should use and which will be the best for you. The article gives you details and comparison of two cameras.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1
Canon Power Shot D10.
If you want such a camera that could work very well in the deep water, then Canon D10 may be the best one. It can work in 10metre deep water. Canon Power Shot D10 has got submarine shape. But there is one disadvantage of Canon Power Shot D10 that it may not come in your pocket. But this loophole can be solved with big pocket. It has big icons which appears very nice and easy pressing buttons and one large LCD screen as well. It also has large screw mouths on the corners of the camera increasing the camera in different underwater holds.
Talking about the other waterproof camera, that is Lumix DMC-TS1. As compare to Canon Power Shot D10 ,the Lumix DMC-TS1 can only work 3meters underwater that is too in very different approach. The smooth rectangular piece outline has prepared Lumix DMC-TS1 hard to differentiate from common non-tough cams. As compare to Canon Power Shot D10 the buttons of Lumix DMC-TS1 are small. We can say that it can perform better on ground rather than in water.
Some other difference can be noticed in Lumix DMC-TS1 that it shoots in the format of AVCHD that is too at 720p, where in case of Canon Power Shot D10 it is 640*480 that is in VGA format. There are 12MP shooting and CCD sensor size available in both the cameras. In case of Lumix DMC-TS1 the ISO can reach up to 6400 where as in case of Canon Power Shot D10 it can only reach up to1600.
Not being a professional Photographer, you can use these cameras to shoot your children while they are bathing because you wont have the fear of water. If any wet thing applies to your camera you can easily clean it without any worry. Both the cameras give you the freedom shooting at anywhere whether it wet field or muddy field.
In the end of the article it can be suggested that if you want a camera which could work 10meter deep water then Canon Power Shot D10 would one or if deepness of water is not so more, then Lumix TS1 would be better 3meter deep water.
