There are a couple of different prepaid credit card options available in Ireland. The prepaid credit card industry in Ireland has seen significant growth in the recent years. This is primarily due to consumers becoming increasingly aware of the pit falls of credit card debt. They have realized that a prepaid credit card will allow them the convenience of credit cards but without the worry of limits, interest and other charges to use their money. The prepaid credit cards work just like debit cards except that many report to the major credit agencies. When you use your card your activity gets reported to the credit agencies and can help facilitate rebuilding or establishing your credit. Prepaid credit cards are a much better option to help rebuild or establishing credit than traditional credit cards aimed at this purpose. Accounts can be established for a small fee. Then you simply load the card with how ever much cash you desire and use it to complete your purchases. Some cards have monthly fees and there are always fees to load more money. Also you may only be able to load a certain amount per fee. While it seems like prepaid credit cards fees are a lot, they can be very minimal compared to traditional credit cards. Traditional credit cards for individuals with non-existent or bad credit have much higher rates and fees than any other credit cards on the market. Here is an explanation of the two most popular. The Ruby Prepaid MasterCard has a couple of different options. With both options you will find a 1650 load limit per 12 month period. You can upgrade to 3000 load limit per 12 month period for a 3.95 fee. Also there is 12.50 fee to cancel the card. With option one for the prepaid credit card you pay a 6 monthly fee but there are no fees for purchases. You get 1 free ATM withdrawal per month. After that it will be 2.00 ATM fee in Ireland and 3.50 ATM fee elsewhere. In option two there is no monthly fee but you pay an additional 2.95% for purchases with a minimum of 75c and maximum of 2. If you withdrawal money from an ATM in Ireland it will be an extra 1.5% with a minimum of 1.50 and maximum of 2.50 but outside of Ireland you will just pay a 3.50 fee. The Net+ Prepaid MasterCard has no application fee, no monthly fee and no transaction fees. It must be attached to Neteller account however. The Neteller Express account has 2,150 limit per 12 month period where the most you can ever put on the card in a years time is that amount and the Neteller Extended account has a rolling limit of 2,150 meaning that is the maximum that can be on the card at at time but it can up loaded anytime if the balance is lower. There is 4.00 ATM fee plus any additional fees the ATM charges.About the Author:
