BANGALORE: Canadian International School Bangalore, takes an initiative of infusing arts into students' school life and the curriculum by introducing a unique International Artists in Residence Program. The idea behind the Program is to invite national and international artists to stay at the
Canadian International School students' residence and interact through workshop, performance, exhibition, screening etc with students, faculty and parents. The Program intends to play an active role in providing skills, incubating ideas and fostering experience for their students.
CIS Artists in Residence Program will provide students the opportunity to work with international artists on a variety o activities like projects, research, quizzing, painting, collage, group learning, storytelling, lectures discussions, teambuilding, brainstorming, public programming, demonstration and exhibition of students' creative work etc.
Canadian international school Bangalore aim is to help students sustain their creative efforts over time through its Artists in Residence Program. The purpose of the Artists in Residence program is to stimulate creativity, to expand visual understanding and vocabulary, to cultivate spatial and narrative thinking.

With our Artists in Residence Program, we wish to spark an interest in arts, dance, music and theatre amongst students at an early stage and also encourage them to explore these as career options." The program will provide an opportunity for students to showcase their hidden creativity. The program will elucidate many principles of visual and performing arts through interesting demonstrations and creative sessions, she added.
