Wax is being used in number of ways now days. Wax is commonly used for making candles. Colorful wax is used for making different decorative items. Making candles is a fun loving and is one of the hobbies mostly liked by teenagers and young people.

Making candles at home is a rewarding hobby. There is short and simple process for making beautiful candles, candle stands; decorative candle stands and other decorative wax items.

There are various tools and machines like wax melters, wax injection machine, specific candle making thermometers, mold it may be container, may be a glass, bowl or a tin, fragrant oil - for perfumed or aromatic candles, dyes - colorful candles and putty - for molds, melt wax, container, sauce pan and more. Such fragment and colorful wax is to make decorative candles and items that are highly sold during festive seasons such as Diwali, Christmas and New Years. There is a great demand of such candle items and decorative items not only in India but also in other countries.

Apart from dyes and candle fragrance, there are many measurable tools and equipments used.Wax and fragrance oil are measured by weight, digital kitchen scale is used as measuring tool. Glass Shot Glass is also sometimes used for weighing fragrance oil. You can also use small waxed or plastic bathroom cup. Scoop soy wax is flaked and palm wax is granulated, scoop or measuring cup is used to scoop the wax out of the bag and into the melting pitcher. Paraffin wax comes in slabs and needs to be chopped up using Hammer & Meat Cleaver. Wick Adhesive is placed at the bottom of the candle container. You can use hot glue or foam stickers called Wick Stickmen. Pen Barrel, after the wick adhesive is applied to the tab on the wick that is placed in candle container. Poke the wick through the hollow barrel. Wick Holders - When pouring container candles, you'll need something to keep the wick centered and taut in the container. Wooden or plastic spring clothes pins, Hot wax, Stirring Stick - Disposable bamboo skewers, thermometer and more tools are used whiled making candles. Candle making glass thermometer with adjustable clip to clip on the side of the melting pot is used while wax is melting. Wax temperature is critical to successful candle making. Formulation thereof has a specific melting and pouring temperature that must be followed.
