Understand that your dog will make mistakes, however, when this happens look at yourself first because you are in control. If you dog loses interest (which he will) try to do what he likes, praise him and try again later. The key to successful training is to be consistent with your actions, and reward your dog. A perfect reward would be some kind of tasty treat that your dog likes well, and give him one everytime he does what you want him to. This will give him the message that if does this..he gets a treat.
