Purchased an SX20IS and got some nice pics. half method through the holiday I broke the latch on the battery door and finished the trip with it taped closed. once I saw that Canon had a brand new model with a 35X zoom i made a decision to sell the broken one and purchase the SX30. The battery indicator never moved off full. once I initial got the SX30 i believed regarding shopping for a spare battery. currently i am unsure if i'll ever want it. i discussed that I broke the battery door on the SX20. The SX20 door appeared quite flimsy, that is uncommon for Canon merchandise. i believe the battery door on the SX30 is a lot of `robust' & doubt i'll ever have a drag.
