The importance of career planning can not be underestimated. The whole life is at stake, when a school leaver chooses a college. The next important step is choosing the first place where the person will work after graduating from the college. This starting point of a beginning career will influence the whole its path greatly. The first responsibilities, the first staff of colleagues will influence the beginners attitude to the work in general.

All graduates face the problem of the starting point. The companies are not always willing to educate the new comers. Most of the positions require certain working experience. Thus, the graduates can not receive the necessary experience because they have not got it yet. It seems to be a closed circle, doesnt it? But there are always a plenty of ways out. One should just think carefully and find them.

Useful tips for the graduates

There is nothing shameful in starting career at a low position with perspectives of career growth. A beginner must not be afraid of receiving the experience working hard. It is not easy to struggle against difficulties and not to give up. But as they say the life is not a bed of roses. Studying at the college a student may dream of well-paid interesting job as soon as he/she receives the diploma. But the graduates are disillusioned very soon, facing the reality.

It could be better to start working during study at the college, if it is possible. Then one will have working experience at the moment of graduating. All the graduates are to keep in mind that:

lacking experience and necessary skills the beginner may sacrifice high salaries or convenient working schedule;

one should choose the position connected with his/her specialization, providing professional growth;

it is useful to learn from more experienced specialists;

one should never stop at the starting point, look for opportunities for the further growth.
