Cellulaze - A New Long Lasting Cellulite Treatment Explained By Dr Barry Lycka

Hi! Im Dr. Barry Lycka. I'd like to explain to you today a little bit more about

cellulite and new cellulite treatments. This is the final article in a series of 4 talking about the causes of cellulite and getting rid of cellulite.

In articel one, I highlighted costly cellulite misconceptions & myths and how this can be detrimental to your health. In article two, I explained a little bit about exactly what is cellulite and the process that causes cellulite. In article three, I gave you an overview of the current treatments for cellulite.

But now there is a new technique to get rid of cellulite, it's a new laser system cellulite treatment called Cellulaze (tm) from Cynosure.

I got involved with Cellulaze in summer 2011 and it was the first time that I had heard of this. Ive been following the cellulite treatment industry for years but really, nothing new had come about and nothing new really excited me. But all of a sudden, I got a call from the manufacturer of this company and they said they had something new for me. I simply asked what it is and they said, 'Well, its just coming out. We cant tell you a lot about it.' I was able to get my hands on a couple of papers and the papers explained a little bit more.

Then I read about a doctor, Dr DiBernardo, in Philadelphia, who was using a new laser system in a new way to help get rid of cellulite. His research showed results of ten patients after one year. And in those ten patients, the vast majority of their cellulite was gone.

So I checked into this. I phoned Dr. DiBernardo. I phoned another doctor by the name of Dr. Katz in New York City who was also using this laser. I did an interview with Dr. Katz, on my Inside Cosmetic Surgery Today show on webtalkradio. It's a great interview and explains more about this.

Through these two doctors I found that for the first time, we could target at least three of the primary elements of cellulite:

1. We can attack the epidermis which is thinned in cellulite and we can make it thicker.

2. We can go and treat the bands that are pulling down the skin and the bands are causing a lot of problems in cellulite, causing the 'dimples'.

3. We can melt some of the fat which causes the 'hills' therefore reducing the thickness of the fat.

And we can also target the edema (swelling) because if we can get the primary processes to go away, we can get edema which is a secondary process to go away.

And finally, we put all our patients on a maintenance program whereby we use Endermologie (a cellulite massage treatment) to keep the cellulite away forever.
