Cascade Healthcare Services offers an array of training for healthcare solutions. They have courses for everyone including healthcare providers, EMS, fire service, day care, public safety and more. One of the courses they offer is an ACLS course. ACLS stands for Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and is run through the American Heart Association. This course allows people to enhance their skills in treating a cardiac arrest or other cardio emergencies. It helps with understanding the importance of CPR to patient survival, and communicating and working as a team to rescue someone from possible death.
This hands-on course will put you in the leader position as well as working alongside others as a team. It will discuss how to recognize early signs of cardiac arrest conditions, how to manage it once it comes, how to treat chest pains and how to distinguish other life-threatening conditions, such as strokes. This course is specifically designed for nurses, physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists and medical technicians; however, it wouldn't hurt to know the ins and outs of this course, no matter what your profession is. You never know when a time might come where a person is in need of this kind of medical attention.
They also offer a course in your basic first aid training. This course is pretty self-explanatory and is designed to help people identify sickness or injury, how to go about making a 911 emergency call and how to give the injured person the right care until the emergency responders arrive to take over. Once you have completed this course, you will be awarded with an American Heart Association card which will be valid for two years. After those two years are up, you must retake the course and pass the test again to continue being certified. Just like the ACLS course, the first aid program is extremely hands-on, as they use manikins and other training equipment to simulate a real situation. This course is targeted for corporations, businesses or employees who are responsible for responding to cardiac emergencies.
Lastly, CPR is another crucial course offered at Cascade Healthcare Services. This course is to train people to diagnose life-threatening predicaments, be able to provide CPR and relieve someone of possible choking in a safe and fast way. Again, this type of course is great for everyone to be trained in; however, it is mainly directed toward healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, medical or nursing students in training and police officers.
These courses are some of the best that you can take and be trained in. It doesn't hurt to expand your knowledge in these medical areas, as you never know when a situation might present itself where you would be able to help someone in need.
