Chambers & Cook Announce New Venture In Pakistan and Afghanistan

Chambers and Cook recently announced their new partnership with DMK Logistics. The two companies will work together forwarding freight across Pakistan and Afghanistan.

DMK Logistics are a well established professional freight forwarding company who began trading in the late 1970's. After many years of experience, DMK has developed special expertise in the handling and transportation of Refrigerated (Reefer) containers. They deliver regular volumes of Reefer containers to warehouses in Kabul and Kandahar. The company employ a sophisticated set of logistics that incorporates the use of staging stations en route.

Each staging station is equipped with overnight static plug-in capability and disaster management protocols to ensure temperaturerequirements are continually met. At the overflow depots in Kabul and Kandahar reefers can be plugged in until customers are ready for delivery. Staging stations also house spare reefer containers in case of complete irreparable breakdown.

DMKis also equipped to receive and customs clear airfreight consignments in Kabul, Kandahar, Bagram airbase and Camp Bastion. Goods can then be forwarded to anywhere in Afghanistan, utilising their own domestic distribution network.
