Actor Charlie Sheen has cited "irreconcilable differences" when he filed for divorce from Brooke Mueller last week, a marriage that apparently hit the rocks when he was arrested on Christmas Day.

Sheen list December 25, 2009, the date of separation and the day of her two children began living alone with him. The couple married on 30 May 2008.

The divorce petition, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, requested articles and physical custody of Bob and Max Sheen, children born to the couple March 14 2009.
