For most normal size people, the choice for beds and mattresses starts with the status of a person. Single individuals would have no problem choosing a single twin or bunk, especially if they are meant for teenagers, though some professional bachelors prefer at least a queen size bed for those occasions when they have to enjoy the night with a partner. And if you do have a partner, you have a number of options for large beds from queen to grand king in the American size chart.

For taller or large frame persons, not only is the size important, but the structural strength as well. Six-Seven-footer individuals should have no problem as all mattress sizes can accommodate them. Basketball celebrities taller than that are best accommodated by king size beds. It's large frame and often obese individuals who are also tall that may need to look at sturdier platform beds or those made of metal to ensure the bed's structural frame won't buckle or deform overtime.
