School Holidays including Half Terms for 2011 vary all over the country so check your local borough, but a good guide would be these dates below, taken from London schools. Prices are always much higher during these periods so if you don't need to take children in school on holiday then you will want to avoid booking holidays during these dates:

Christmas and New Year 2010/ 2011: School broke up on Friday 17th December 2010 and return on Thursday 6th January 2011

February (spring) half term 2011: Schools break up on Friday 18th February 2011 and return on Monday 28th February 2011

Easter Holidays 2011: Schools break up on Friday 8th April 2011 and return on Tuesday 26th April 2011. You must also bear in mind that the Royal Wedding will be on Friday 29th April and many people will be taking the three days off in between as well as extending to the Bank Holiday on Monday 2nd May, so basically you will not be finding any cheap holidays at all between Friday 8th April and Tuesday May 3rd! It does however mean that if you are willing to pay the peak supplements, you can have an 11 day holiday from 22nd April until the 2nd May and only need to take three days of work!

May (Summer) Half Term 2011: Schools break up on Friday 27th May 2011 and return on Monday 6th June 2011

Summer Holiday 2011: Schools break up on Friday 22nd July 2011 and return on Thursday 1st September 2011

October (Autumn) Half Term 2011: Schools break up on Friday 21st October 2011 and return on Monday 31st October 2011

Christmas and New Year 2011/ 2012: Schools break up on Friday 16th December 2011 and return on Wednesday 4th January 2012
