The word Chardham is related with the four abodes of god

, namely Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri at the Himalayan region of Garhwal (Uttrakhand). Entire locations of the chardham are believed to be highly sacred by the Hindu religion. Each of these places of chardham is having its own significance.

Kerdarnath: This place is dedicated to Lord Shiva and it is one of the 12 jyotirlinga. It is located in the most interior place amidst the mesmerizing snow capped peaks. This place is also famous as the Samadhi place of Adi guru Shankaracharya.

Sri Gangotri Dham: it is the source of the Ganga River. Here temple as well as the aarti which is performed is memorable.

Sri Yamunotri Dham: it is the source of Yamuna River. You can also visit the places like Rishikesh, Haridwar or Dehradun while reaching to this place.

Sri Badrinath Dham: this place is dedicated to Badrinarayan and it is one of the crowded destinations in Chardham. Here the temple is too beautiful which is inscribed with paintings.
