Chennai Schools Are Best For Kids Education

Formerly known as Madrasapattinam, over the years the British shortened it to Madras. In 1996, the State government changed the name from Madras to Chennaipattnam when many Indian cities were being renamed. The contribution of the Christian run schools is significant some of the top schools in Chennai are run by Jesuit priests and Roman catholic fathers like St. John's English School and Junior College, Sacred Heart and presentation school apart from the Private run PSBB Senior Secondary School, DAV Public School and SBOA School & Junior College, which have also carved a niche for themselves over the years. A striking feature is the amount of impetus the Government programs give the State run schools. The free midday meals scheme, free bicycle scheme are all Government initiatives to promote education and bring the girl child into the classroom.

There are not very many nurseries in the city, except for those attached to mainstream schools, so the quality of education is preserved.
