Don't necessarily go out there & purchase golf clubs simply because a golf pro uses them. In the same regard don't simply buy a club because a friend said it was a great club. If you are a beginner or even an intermediate golfer you want to explore clubs that are more forgiving if you make a mistake in your swing to limit hooks & slices.
Clubs like this are perfect for "newer" golfers because they have bigger area to strike the ball with to make a successful shot. They may be able to help you drive the ball farther as well. Focus on the way the club is made & if it's simply being used by you or not.
When selecting putters, drivers, wedges, irons, etc. a lot of things will come into play. There are numerous companies out there that "Create" golf sets for golfers including a certain number of each golf club; while you may love one club another club may not be the best choice for you. One thing to consider may be custom made clubs. The way you put may require a longer putter, or your height may require the driver to be longer. You can have bigger hands that require a larger grip.
While you'll want a certain number of each clubs it doesn't hurt to explore what each club brings to the table. You just have to make sure with your new beginner golf clubs that you are comfortable with every club you bring to the course with you, if you aren't you must adjust your bag.
