Choosing Between Video Conferencing And Audio Conferencing
In recent years conferencing has been becoming more and more popular
, both video and audio conferencing. But while audio conferencing was generally the conference calling method of choice when conferencing programs were first developed and introduced, video conferencing is quickly growing to be even more popular these days.
Many conference calling programs that are available offer both options, and many of those programs are even free, so finding a great conference calling program is definitely a simple task. But although deciding which type of conference call you want to make may be a simple task in and of itself, many individuals are not aware of the additional benefits that result from using video conferencing rather than simple audio conferencing. There are, in fact, a number of reasons as to why some people choose video conferencing over audio conferencing.
-Video Conferencing is More Like Meeting Face-to-Face-Meeting face-to-face is by far the best way to conduct any kind of business, but it is not always possible. Fortunately this issue can be corrected with the use of video conferencing, which allows individuals to communicate just like they would in a face-to-face meeting. You may not be in the same room as all of the participants in a meeting but you will be able to see their facial expressions, their mannerisms, and their attitudes toward the business at hand when you video conference with them. This is a significant advantage in business, in many ways.
-Video Conferencing Allows Multiple People in the Same Video-Video conferencing also allows multiple individuals in the same room to be in a meeting. This allows two videos that each party can see but there could be many more actual participants. This makes more sense than a conference call in which each person needs to be focused on individually, particularly if there are a considerable number of participants. In addition, many individuals feel more comfortable video conferencing when they are in a room and on camera with their colleagues.
-Video Conferencing Allows You to Review Participants Expressions-Finally, it is important to point out that video conferencing offers a benefit that does not so much involve the communications aspect but rather the opportunity to utilize recorded conferences for later review. Being able to go back to a recorded video conference to review such things as participants mannerisms, attitudes, and expressions gives you an advantage when it comes to dealing with those individuals. This is especially true when it comes to possible clients, and even more so potential clients that can offer big accounts.
Although there are many individuals who do not like the idea of being on camera it is important to consider the benefits that such conference provide. If the benefits outweigh the costs when it comes to utilizing such a tool then it is hard to pass up. This is why so many people opt for video conferencing these days.
