While brands differ from brand to brand, its the actual type of mattress that I want to discuss here. here are essentially 2 types of mattress choices - foam and spring mattresses and each one have unique benefits.Spring mattresses by far the most popular and have been around for quite some time. Its essentially a series of springs fixed to a wooden base with a soft top. The springs are designed to offer support and some of the more sophisticated models have special springs that can adapt to your body weight. Finding the right mattress for you is all about finding the correct levels of firmness. A firm mattress usually has more rigid springs and/or a more form top layer.Foam mattresses are very different from their spring counterparts. Instead of being made of different layers, its basically a solid piece of foam. The type of foam is the most important choice here. With dozens of choices, the best is probably latex and visco memory foam. These are much firmer and don't lose their shape. It also has many other benefits like being hypo-allergenic and providing better support for your back.The lifetime of a mattress is a very important consideration. in general foam mattresses are more expensive, but they have a much longer lifespan. they are resistant to dust mites and mold and while springs tend to lose their shape, memory foam holds its shape and its support.Are you looking for a Swedish mattress?
