Cintiq 21ux New Sensitive Colour Monitor With Pen Input
Wacom is the first name that comes to mind of most people when they think of styluses
, touch sensitive input devices and pen-input human interface devices and for good reason. The company has been the leader in touch-input technology for years now. The company has now moved their game ahead with their new touch-sensitive monitor that is already a bestseller and has sold out in most online stores. The Cintiq 21UX is their latest model that brings the intuitiveness of pen input directly to the screen.
The Cintiq combines two of the most important products for digital artists in any number of fields from digital photo retouching to industrial designers. A high quality display and a highly sensitive and easy to use touch and pen input system allow designers to interact with and write, draw, paint, erase and shape directly on the screen without looking down at a touch tablet.
The new monitor has been specially designed with professionals in mind that will spend hours every day working directly on it. It has a 21.3 display area in a 4:3 format with a high resolution display with 1600x1200 pixels. The pen input in this new model is even more sensitive to give artists more control and a more life-like experience of working with the screen. The new pen technology can detect an amazing 2048 different levels of pressure to capture even the slightest nuance of input. Wacom claims that the new touch system is sensitive to pressure of as little as one gram. This gives artists the feel of a real paintbrush, marker, pencil or a pen. Creating the slightest variations in brush size or adjusting exposure in the minutest amount possible is now easily done.
The Cintiq 21UX works with all you favourite software and 16 programmable keys give you quick access to all your controls that you can map any way you like. Two additional touch sensitive strips on the back allow quick toggling of zoom, rotation and a number of other controls. For artists that will spend all day at this digital easel the Cintiq reclines from 10 to 65 degrees to accommodate all postures and you can even rotate the orientation of the display to make working easier. Using tools like rulers and set squares is now made easier by the new design that makes the actual display perfectly flush mounted with the bezel and the tough glass surface stands up to scratches so you can use your drawing tools on it without worrying. Left handed artists dont need to feel left out as the Cintiq is completely ambidextrous and can be programmed to work any way you find comfortable.
